Flight crew, commander আর relief pilot
Minimum flight crew লেখা থাকে AFM-এ; operator তার কম দিতে পারে না, OM চাইলে বেশি। Inexperienced দুইজনকে একসাথে crew করা যাবে না।
Commander
PIC হওয়ার যোগ্য একজন pilot-কে commander নিয়োগ করা হয়।
- Multi-pilot plane-এ commander: ATPL(A)।
- CPL(A) holder single-pilot plane-এর commander হতে পারে: departure-এর 50 NM-এর বেশি দূরে VFR passenger flight-এ কমপক্ষে 500 ঘণ্টা বা valid IR; multi-engine IFR-এ কমপক্ষে 700 ঘণ্টা, যার 400 ঘণ্টা PIC (এর মধ্যে 100 IFR, 40 multi-engine)। Co-pilot-এর 2 ঘণ্টা = PIC-এর 1 ঘণ্টা।
Co-pilot থেকে commander হতে OM-এর অভিজ্ঞতা আর একটা command course: simulator ও flying training, commander হিসেবে operator proficiency check, দায়িত্ব, supervision-এ line training (type-এ আগে থেকে qualified হলে অন্তত 10 sector), line check, route ও aerodrome competence, CRM।
Relief pilot
- Commander-এর relief, FL200-এর উপরে: valid ATPL(A), type rated, recurrent trained ও checked, route competent।
- Co-pilot-এর relief (cruise relief co-pilot), FL200-এর নিচে না: CPL(A) আর IR, type rated (take-off-landing বাদে), recurrent trained। Recent experience লাগে না, কিন্তু 90 দিন পরপর simulator refresher।
- System panel operator (flight engineer) AFM চাইলে: flight engineer licence বা authority-র গ্রহণযোগ্য qualified crew।
IFR বা রাতে
9-এর বেশি seat-এর turboprop আর সব turbojet: দুইজন pilot। বাকিগুলো single pilot চলে যদি: single-pilot conversion আর recurrent training, type বা class-এ IFR-এ অন্তত 50 ঘণ্টা (10 ঘণ্টা commander হিসেবে), আর গত 90 দিনে single-pilot role-এ 5টা IFR flight, যার 3টা instrument approach।
