CAAB examination syllabus
The official syllabus runs to 115 pages, and most of it does not apply to you. Pick your licence and aircraft category below and it filters down to only the topics you are examined on — Issue-1, 2005-08-10.
Private Pilot Licence (PPL)
Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)
Instrument Rating (IR)
Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL)
Flight Instructor Rating (FIR)
PPL and FIR have one syllabus each, not two
CAAB publishes a single combined aeroplane/helicopter syllabus for both, so there is nothing to choose between. The CPL, ATPL and Instrument Rating syllabus is the one that genuinely differs by category — whole branches appear and disappear.
